Mantrac Tanzania welcomes new T4A graduates
Success is the result of preparation, hard work and focus, and should always be celebrated. That’s what 11 rising stars are doing in Tanzania after graduating from the popular Technicians for Africa (T4A) programme.
Held recently at Mantrac Tanzania’s facility, the graduation saw the students received their Foundational Certificates after a facility tour, CAT Learning Centre facility video, Mantrac and CAT presentations and a Q&A session. The ceremony and celebration were attended virtually by COEs and CAT representatives.
Of the 11 graduates from the latest T4A class, four have already joined the Mantrac family and are now employed by Mantrac Tanzania and Delta as Service Technicians. A further two graduates are also working for Mantrac Tanzania on a temporary basis.
Sponsored by Caterpillar, the global leader in construction and mining equipment, Technicians for Africa is a free online programme. The course is made up of 18 modules, covering the knowledge needed to become a fully trained technician in just 3-6 months. Modules cover a variety of topics from a basic overview of Cat machinery, to assembly, and the fundamentals of electricity, engines, and hydraulics.
All the courses are virtual and can be done from home, school, or anywhere with a good internet connection.
T4A is open to anyone with an interest in heavy machinery looking to start a new and exciting career, with the aim of building the technicians of tomorrow.
